Father, we thank you that you have a Remnant scattered throughout the world and we pray that this service helps to unite them in praising and glorifying you. Let your Spirit touch readers and draw all to you through your Son, Messiah Yahshua. Ameyn.
Play the first music track:
33:12) Blessed is the nation whose `Elohiym is Yahua,
The people whom He has chosen for His own Inheritance.
33:13) Yahua looks from heaven.
He sees all the sons of men.
33:14) From the place of His habitation,
He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth.
33:15) He who fashioned all of their hearts;
And He considers all of their works.
33:16) There is no king saved by the multitude of a host.
A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
33:17) To rely on a horse for safety is a vain thing,
Neither does it deliver any by its great strength.
33:18) Behold, Yahua’s eye is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His lovingkindness.
33:19) To deliver their soul from death,
To keep them alive in famine.
33:20) Our soul has waited for Yahua.
He is our help and our shield.
33:21) For our heart rejoices in Him,
Because we have trusted in His set apart name.
33:22) Let your lovingkindness be on us, Yahua,
Since we have hoped in you.
Death does not sound a trumpet.
Yom Teruah (Day of Trumpets) is the first feast day of the Autumnal series of special days or mo`edim. It is a Shabbat which requires observing all that is done on a weekly Shabbat. Ten days after this feast is Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) and a further five days is Sukkot (Tabernacles/Booths).
“Speak to the Children of Yisra’el, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest to you, a memorial of blowing of the trumpets, a set apart convocation.’” (Lev. 23:24). This is a special Shabbat, one that can occur on any day of the week as it falls on the same date every year. On this day the blowing of trumpets is for a reminder to remind them of the giving of Torah on Mount Sinai and for the gathering of all the people represented by the tribal leaders. These trumpets are the thin silver ones (chatzotzarout) and not the ram’s horn shofar.
“When you go to war in your own land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets; and you shall be remembered before Yahua `Aloheykem, and you shall be saved from your enemies.” (Num. 10:9). It is the belief at ATC that prior to Messiah’s setting foot back on earth the following sequence of events will take place:
All Believers are snatched away (often called the Rapture);
Thirty-six months of false peace;
Abomination that causes desolation;
Thirty-five and a half months of Ya`akov’s Troubles (Great Tribulation);
The significance of Yom Kippur and Sukkot will be discussed on their relative Shabbats.
Yom Teruah is an alarm call for the nation of Yisra`el. They need to waken up from the spiritual slumber of the last two millennia; to realise the state of their corporate sin. Beloved, as Believers are grafted-in to the Commonwealth of Yisra`el, Yom Teruah is also a wake-up call, for us to take stock of our spiritual state.
Beloved, how do we stand in light of Torah? Can you say as the hymn writer penned ‘All is well with my soul?’
If you do not know what your spiritual state is, then you cannot answer this last question. Do you not know that you are a sinner and destined for eternal punishment in Hell? In need of a Saviour because you are not able to do anything about it? Then you must seek Yahua’s mercy while it is still available.
If you want to accept Father’s offer of salvation through Messiah Yahshua, you need to ask Him in prayer along these lines. Use your own words but they must be genuine as Father knows our very hearts and nothing is hidden from Him.
“Father, I am a sinner who needs forgiveness through your Son, Messiah Yahshua. Please forgive me of all my past sins as I accept that, Messiah Yahshua my Saviour, has taken upon Himself my punishment. By your Spirit, help me to live a life worthy of His sacrifice. Thank you, Father, for making this way back to you.”
Our Saviour welcomes all His Family to join in this memorial. If you have accepted Messiah Yahshua as your Master and Saviour please take the next few moments to seek Father and to ensure that all is right between Him and you and between you and your Brothers and Sisters. If not, please put this right before continuing.
WARNING! By taking the bread and wine in an unworthy manner, the participant brings condemnation upon themselves.
If you have not yet accepted Him into your life, then we encourage you to seek Him while it is still possible, as time is running out. When He returns or if you pass away then it will be too late. Please do not partake of the bread and wine as in doing so, it gives thanks for the broken body (bread) and shed blood (wine) for our salvation.
On the night of the Master’s betrayal, He took the bread, blessed it and broke it saying ‘This is my Body broken for you; take and eat it as a memorial to Me.’
Bless the bread saying: Blessed are you, O Yahua our `Elohiym, King of the universe, who brings forth bread from the earth.
Break and eat the bread (sharing it if within a group setting):
After the meal He took the Cup of Blessing, blessed it saying ‘This is my Blood poured out for you for the remission of sins; take and drink it as a memorial to me.’
Bless the wine saying: Blessed are you, O Yahua our `Elohiym, King of the universe, who creates the fruit of the vine.
Drink the wine (sharing it if within a group setting):
Thanksgiving prayer: Blessed are you, O Yahua our `Elohiym, King of the universe, who gives us, in Yahshua, all that we will ever need. In your lovingkindness and mercy, you rebuild broken lives. You bless us, in Yahshua, with a perfect blessing. Ameyn.
Play the second music track:
Father, we thank you for the power of your Word and that Word was made flesh in Messiah Yahshua so that in believing in His Life, Death and Resurrection we may have eternal life with you.
“How long will you slumber, O sluggard?
When will you rise from your sleep?” (Prov. 6:9).
